MS 1000 and delivery distances

250 m in horizontal plane, then up to 15 m height at 280 m hose length, or to 81 m height at 130 m hose length - these are parameters of delivery distances to which our MS equipment in standard design can pump foam concrete.   The above mentioned distances can be increased. However, achieving the declared volume weight in the place of application still remains as the quality parameter of the processed foam concrete.   The specified parameters of the foam concrete delivery were achieved in year 2015 in construction site in Bratislava, Slovakia.   In case of any questions please do not hesitate to contact us.    For more information please visit www.sircontec.com/products-and-solutions ...

Comparison of impact noise insulations

Not all insulations are equal. Most of us will probably agree on this. But what are actual differences between impact noise insulations that are usually used and applied in civic building floors? Are there any? Which materials are more suitable? Which of them prove best reduction and which, on the other hand, lowest reduction on the unit of thickness? Does the noise reduction change after a load is applied? How does reduction of various insulations change with time? How do commonly used impact noise insulations reduce problematic low frequencies? Do they reduce them at all?   SIRCONTEC company personnel have tried to find answers to these questions. They have carried out two series of comparison measurements, which were announced step-by-step to the visitors of our web page and to our customers. Today we publish overall table comparison of impact noise insulations, which, as we believe, brings more light to these issues. You can download the comparison on the Floors page, at t ...

Comparison of materials for floor subbase levelling

Materials for floor subbase levelling significantly influence the whole floor – the construction, price, and resulting acoustic and mechanical properties, e.g. noise reduction and bearing capacity.   You can download the interesting comparisons of material mostly used for this purpose on the Floors page, at the bottom, in Download Documents section.   This comparison is based on our more than 15-years’ experience on this subject.    ...

PBG 40 for shopping centres

Foam concrete in PBG 40 modification, due to its unique capability to level out any uneven subbase, found its application also in laying floors of MIRAGE SHOPPING CENTER in Žilina. PBG 40 was used as a layer for levelling uneven steel-concrete ceiling slabs, and then 50 mm thick self-levelling cement screed, Cemflow 20, was placed.   The purpose of self-levelling PBG 40 application was to prepare a plane, as inexpensively as possible, for screed placement and thus ensure its constant thickness on the whole surface. Constant screed thickness helped to minimize the cost per m2 on the entire floor and also reduce appearance of incontrollable cracks in the screed, which was placed on extremely large surfaces in this construction.   Contractor: Hastav Žilina s.r.o. Total area of PBG 40 applied floors: ...

EKM - the best sound insulation

EKM - the most efficient impact noise insulation.     Growing demands on impact noise insulation of floors, while at the same time, minimizing their thickness, especially for housing constructions, are evident these days. Underestimation of these, financially not demanding requirements in floor composition design, usually results in permanently decreased quality of living, which practically cannot be rectified after the construction is handed over (i.e. approved). Therefore, protection of consumers in CZ was enhanced by revision of the standard CSN73035 (February 2010), which decreased permissible value of the normalized impact noise level between two apartments from 58 to 55 dB. It is expected that also STN EN 73 035, a standard in force in SK, will be made stricter.   SIRCONTEC company responded to these requirements by doing its own research in order to develop an acoustic insulation which could satisfy demanding requirements of standards and mainly apartmen ...

News on Floor Acoustic

In situation when importance of acoustic properties of building structures, especially floors, is increasing, we cooperate with a test lab accredited for acoustic measurements of building structures in an extensive research. The aim is to examine properties of various sound insulating pads and disprove or confirm contradictory information on gradually decreasing thickness and thus sound dampening properties of PE foam based pads.   Knowledge resulting from more than 90 measurements: 1.       Floor with 50 mm thick PBG 40 levelling layer proves in most cases better impact noise reduction than the same floor with 50 mm thick EPS 100 levelling layer. 2.       Floor with 15 mm thick acoustic EPS pad placed on PBG 40 is by 3.3 dB better than floor with the same acoustic EPS placed on 50 mm thick EPS 100. 3.       Decline of ΔLw resulting from the effect of static load in PE foam with t ...

PBG as a filler of space

PBG as a filler of space between protective pipe and piping An excellent ratio of thermal-insulation properties, compression strength and the cost predetermine SIRCONTEC PBG  also for filling space between the piping which conveys medium and the protective pipe. PBG can perfectly fill up any shape and push out the accumulated water, furthermore, it will create a monolith from the piping itself and the protective pipe, which will excellently resist external influences. The protective pipe, in this case, functions as a permanent formwork. Herein displayed application has been implemented by SITCONTEC (www.sitcontec.pl), Poland. Standards for Foam Concrete?

First technical certificate for SIRCONTEC lightweight concretes was issued in May 2008 by TSUS (Technical and Testing Institute for Construction), Bratislava. In February 2009, Czech STO (Construction Technical Certificate) was added to TO (Technical Certificate) issued in Slovakia for materials produced by SIRCONTEC technology, and in September 2009 we have obtained also technical certificate issued by the Polish Institute of Construction Engineering - ITB. SIRCONTEC s.r.o. company thus becomes the leader in setting standards for foam concretes in construction practice not only in Slovakia, but also in Central European countries. The construction technical certificates being granted confirm that procedures have been applied for ensuring conformity of production with standards and regulations in force, and for achieving continuous quality of production of materials bearing SIRCONTEC PBG and SIRCONTEC PsB trade names, using MS 1000 SIRCONTEC equipment developed by our c ...

Floor acoustic

SIRCONTEC floor acoustic in the form of a graph can be found on our web site in the section Download titled DS 209 – Acoustic. The graph describes dependence of the standard level of step noise on the thickness of the steel-concrete ceiling slab and the type of the wear layer.   Measurements and following calculations confirmed results of partial measurements of floor compositions containing foam concrete as the levelling layer and foam polyethylene as the level contributing to the step-noise dampening.   The graph is intended mainly for designers and site managers and it should help them get oriented in the issue of the floor acoustic.    The values read on the graph are valid under the condition that all sound-transferring bridges are eliminated in the SIRCONTEC floor composition.   For further information on this issue ask at info@sircontec.com. ...

How many m3 PBG is being manufactured?

In the year 2006, for the first time in the history of the Slovak construction industry, the limit of 5 thousand m3 of the foam concrete, manufactured by the SIRCONTEC equipment and according to the SIRCONTEC company procedures, was passed. Practically all concrete, more than 97% was consumed for making levelling layers of floors in civic buildings. The rest was consumed for making gradient layers of flat roofs and prefabricated parts.  As for the regional distribution of the consumption, the west of Slovakia dominates with the share of more than 90%. In the year 2007 SIRCONTEC company is expecting confirmation of the significantly growing trend of the foam concrete consumption with the increased share of the eastern Slovakia. This is indicated by continuously growing interest in SIRCONTEC floor structures from the side of designers, architects and realization companies. ...

SIRCONTEC foam concrete in winter

Due to repeated enquiries regarding conditions of SIRCONTEC foam-concrete application in the winter season our company provides the following information:  1. In order to choose the foam-concrete modification in the winter season it is important to know the assumed surrounding temperature (atmosphere) and the temperature of the structure – to be measured in contact with the structure in the area of the foam-concrete application.  2. The temperatures mentioned in the paragraph 1. should be maintained in the permissible range during the whole setting period – from pouring till acquiring the walkable strength – the time when it is possible to walk upon the foam-concrete surface without damaging it.    From achieving the walkable strength until the 28th day the surrounding temperature and the temperature of the structure should not drop below +5°C. It should be noted that the temperatures must be maintained also during the night and on hol ...
